The Flooring Co was contracted by long-term partner Thomas Sinden to supply and install the floor finishes to Ravensbury Estate, their new-build development in Morden.
The brief
Long-term partner Thomas Sinden appointed us to supply and install the floor finishes across Ravensbury Estate, a new-build development of flats and houses in Morden. Made up of eight blocks, the scheme needed a consistent, hard-wearing floor finish throughout every home, ready for handover to residents.
The communal areas also needed a durable finish to stand up to daily foot traffic, with new nosings to the stairs. Our works ran alongside the main build programme from February to December 2025.
The action
Before any flooring went down, our team latexed the new subfloors throughout to create a smooth, level base. On a new build this step makes all the difference to the finished floor – any imperfection left in the subfloor will show through a vinyl finish over time.
We then installed Altro Wood in Vintage Cherry throughout the interiors of the new flats and houses. Altro Wood gives the warm, natural look of timber with the practical benefits of vinyl – hard-wearing, easy to clean and well suited to everyday family life.
In the communal areas we supplied and installed Interface Employ Loop carpet tiles, a hard-wearing loop pile tile built for high-traffic spaces, and fitted new aluminium nosings to the stairs. Using carpet tiles also keeps future maintenance simple, as individual tiles can be lifted and replaced if damaged.

All works were completed in December 2025, with every block finished and ready for handover.
The results
