Delivering a fast-track, high-performance flooring system to support a major regeneration project for Bouygues UK
The brief
Hallsville Quarter is a key part of the Canning Town regeneration in East London, providing new homes, retail and student accommodation. Bouygues UK appointed The Flooring Co to install a robust flooring system across more than 8,500 m² of residential and plant areas, where long-term durability and moisture protection were critical.
The brief required a complete solution to ensure rapid installation, performance across varied environments and compliance with the demanding build schedule. Tremco was selected for its fully compatible system and proven results on large-scale developments.
The action
The Flooring Co installed a tailored Tremco system, combining ES600 Moisture Vapour Suppressant, SX302 MT Smoothing Compound, SX100 Tanking Compound and SF41 Resin Floor Paint. Each product was applied with precision to meet the performance needs of different zones, from living spaces to high-moisture plant areas.
ES600 safeguarded all subfloors against residual moisture, while SX302 MT provided a fast-setting, high-strength base ideal for student accommodation. In plant and tanking areas, SX100 offered long-term waterproof protection, topped with SF41 resin paint for a durable and clean finish.
Close collaboration between The Flooring Co, Likewise London and Tremco ensured seamless coordination of supply, technical guidance and on-site delivery.
The results
