FAQs

Can you change the colour of our Floor?

Yes we can, but colours will be dependent on your original timber. We have an extensive range of stain from industry leaders such as Mylands, Osmo, Morrells, Ronseal.

What types of seals/laquers do you use?

We only use the market leading best quality seals, lacquers and oils, such as Osmo, Bona, Junkers and WOCA.

How are gaps filled ?

We use narrow strips of wood glued between the floorboards and then sanded down to be level with the boards. Occasionally when the gaps are very small we will use a two part filler mixed with the saw dust.

How long does the work take?

Depending on the size of the floor, condition and amount of repairs needed, but normally around 2 days to complete 20 -30 square metres.

Do you remove/replace furniture?

Yes, we can remove and replace your furniture upon request.

Do you make a lot of dust when sanding?

Not a lot. It is inevitable that some dust will be produced, however our professional sanding machines are 98% dust free.

Do you follow the latest health and safety regulations?

Yes, as members of the UK C ontract Flooring Association we are fully compliant in all the latest health and safety regulations and are CHAS and Construction Online approved.

We regularly undertake staff training to ensure everyone is clear on how to work in a safe and responsible manner. For example:

Our project managers complete the highly-regarded,five-day IOSH Managing Safety qualification
Our site supervisors all complete the two-day Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme & First Aid Training
We have a qualified, in-house PAT Testing Engineer and the latest testing equipment

All our fitters hold CSCS cards confirming their health and safety awareness and have qualified to at least NVQ Level 2 in particular trade

Can you remove and dispose of old floor coverings?

Yes, we do this as part of our site preparation work and take pride in keeping work spaces tidy. Where possible, we recycle used carpet and vinyl flooring as members of Recofloor and Carpet Recycling UK to reduce landfill waste – a key sustainability challenge for the flooring industry.
