The brief
To install bespoke Premier Inn hotel carpets across reception, corridor and bedroom spaces.
The action
Leading building contractors JJ Rhatigan selected the Flooring Co to manage all aspects of contract flooring works during the construction of a new Premier Inn.
Premier Inn has a bespoke range of hotel carpets, commissioned and produced by Cavalier Carpets and designed for branding, resilience and style.
Our experienced team of carpet fitters worked swiftly across all 137 bedrooms, spanning up to eight storeys, as well as all in communal areas. As the hotel carpet arrived onsite, we had to work rapidly to establish a sheltered space in which we could cut each roll to size.
As well as carpet fitting, we managed the install of Solus ceramic tiling in the bathrooms and restaurant space. The bar and restaurant spaces also had a creative flooring design created in Amtico luxury vinyl tiles by Spacia and Wood ranges to achieve the desired contrasting effect.
In back-of-house areas, it was vital that we used industry-standard safety flooring, such as Tarkett Primo Safe T, Polysafe Modena and Ultima.
Our experience in flooring project management meant we kept to strict deadlines, coordinating well with other onsite contractors. Our team of fitters worked an out-of-hours schedule enabling us to maximise efficiency levels.
The result
Careful co-ordination of multiple large-scale project elements ensured each aspect of flooring was completed on time, to budget and all to a high professional standard – ready for a new Premier Inn to open its doors to guests.
