The brief
To supply and fit flooring in a four storey office block, creating new workspace zoning.
The action
As a trusted flooring partners for building contractors Storm Building we installed Burmatex contract carpet tiles in a range of zoning colours across all four storeys of Knowle Green Council offices.
In a 1970s building, the first phase of work involved the removal and sustainable deposal of the existing flooring. This was followed by rigorous subfloor preparation work, to ensure all surfaces were optimised, ready for the new carpet. We used Instarmac Super 30 latex – a fast drying product, which meant we could prepare surfaces with no disruption to office workflow.
We managed this project in four stages, taking responsibility for liaising with all suppliers, onsite teams and council staff to ensure a seamless delivery of services.
All materials were sourced ahead of time, ready for delivery onsite at a moment’s notice. This meant our fitters could maximise their productivity, achieving high-quality finishes whilst hitting tight deadlines.
The results
A refurbished office space with durable, easy-to-maintain carpeting that enhances workplace zoning – all fitted and finished with minimal disruption to day-to-day council operations.
