The brief
After reconnecting with long-standing industry contacts, we were invited to tender for the flooring package of a newly developed retirement village in the scenic surroundings of Cobham, Surrey. The village required high-quality, durable, and aesthetically pleasing flooring solutions for both private residences and communal spaces, ensuring a welcoming and luxurious environment for residents.
The action
Upon securing the contract, our team conducted an on-site survey, managing and coordinating the supply and installation of over 500 individual pieces of carpet. Despite challenging winter conditions, we successfully installed Cavalier Twist Carpet across 80 two-bedroom apartments, ensuring a comfortable and elegant finish. For the communal bar and bistro, we collaborated with Newman & Grey to install 300m² of bespoke timber flooring, adding a sophisticated touch to the social areas. Additional installations included herringbone-style Karndean flooring in the hobbies room and salon area, as well as Brinton Body & Border carpet in the dining area, enhancing the overall ambience of the shared spaces.
The results
The project delivered 80 newly completed, high-end two-bedroom apartments, along with a stylish and inviting communal area featuring a fully furnished bar, bistro, and hobbies room. Designed for both durability and comfort, the luxurious retirement living environment was enhanced with premium flooring solutions, including a beautifully finished communal swimming pool area that ensures an exceptional standard of living for residents. Showcasing our ability to manage large-scale flooring installations with precision, this project sets the benchmark for modern retirement living, creating a stunning and welcoming space.
